Inspired by the ways in which Margaret Tait’s films invite us to contemplate fundamental emotions and everyday activities that are often overlooked, Charity questions how the essential, but largely invisible and unpaid, processes we employ to care for others and ourselves could be reimagined.

Charity was commissioned by the The Margaret Tait Award, which is supported by Glasgow Film Festival, Creative Scotland and  LUX. It was premiered at Glasgow Film Festival 2017 and will form a major part of my forthcoming solo exhibition at Stills Gallery, Edinburgh which opens for the Edinburgh Art Festival on the 28th July 2017.

Made with support from Outset Scotland.
